BASF RODIM PPF in Bangalore at Fortify Car Care

Colour PPF in Bangalore at Fortify Car Care

At Automechanika 2026, RODIM unveiled R-Star, a paint protection film built for Indian roads and Indian budgets. It put BASF-made protection within reach of Creta, Nexon, and XUV 700 owners, not only luxury car buyers. That launch is a big reason more car owners now search for RODIM PPF in Bangalore.

Fortify Car Care is an authorised BASF RODIM PPF installer, based in HRBR Layout. Every car we protect with RODIM gets an eWarranty issued directly by BASF RODIM. On this page, you’ll find all six RODIM films we fit and what each one costs. You’ll also see how the warranty works and which film suits the way you drive.

The prices below are real ranges from our studio, not “starting from” teasers. We’ve kept the jargon light so you can compare films in a few minutes.

What BASF brings to RODIM PPF that other films don't

BASF is one of the world’s leading makers of TPU, the flexible plastic that paint protection film is built from. The company has spent more than 160 years in material science. With RODIM, BASF controls the film from raw TPU particles through to the finished roll. Fewer outside suppliers in the chain means fewer places for quality to slip.

RODIM also went through a 3,000-hour accelerated UV test. A test like this packs long-term sun exposure into a few months of lab time. For a car parked on a Bangalore street all day, UV is the slow threat that fades paint year after year.

Car makers have taken notice of the film as well. FAW-Volkswagen certified RODIM in May 2022. BASF now supplies it to nearly 2,000 Audi and Volkswagen dealers across China.

How RODIM PPF handles Bangalore's roads, sun and rain

A bag strap dragged across the boot lid leaves a fine scratch on bare paint. On RODIM film, light marks like that fade once the panel warms up in the sun or under warm water. This self-healing top layer keeps the finish looking fresh between washes.

Cheap films often turn yellow after a couple of hot summers. RODIM’s TPU is engineered to resist yellowing, so a white or silver car keeps its true colour. You won’t see a tired, dull tint creep in around the bonnet.

Highway runs are where the bonnet and front bumper take the most punishment. A drive up Bellary Road to the airport can throw gravel at the car at speed. The film absorbs those small impacts, so chips mark the film instead of the paint underneath.

Tree-lined streets bring their own problems, from bird droppings to sticky sap. Left too long on bare paint, both can etch into the clear coat. RODIM resists these stains, so you can wipe them off before they leave a mark.

During the monsoon, water beads up and rolls off the film instead of sitting flat. Less grime sticks to the car, and each wash takes less effort.

Colour change with protection

R-Star is RODIM’s newest film, launched in 2026 for India’s mass-premium car segment. It brings anti-yellowing and self-healing at the lowest RODIM price. Pick it if this is your first PPF and you drive a car like the Creta or Nexon.

R1 is known for its brightness, which RODIM says beats other films at the same level. Owners who want their daily driver to look extra glossy tend to like it. Its 7-year warranty suits people who change cars every few years.

R2 uses a thicker build for stronger impact resistance. RODIM recommends it for highway users, SUV owners, and people who keep their cars long term. If you often take an XUV 700 or Scorpio N out of the city, start here.

R3 is the thickest film in the range at 216 microns, with a 10-year warranty. We recommend it for luxury cars and owners who plan to keep their car for a decade. Think of it as the long-haul option.

R2 Matt turns a gloss finish into a soft satin look. It also protects cars that leave the factory with matte paint. You can see more satin options on our matte PPF page.

R+Black is a gloss black film that changes your car’s colour while protecting the paint. You get a fresh look and a protective layer in a single job.

Partial coverage protects the high-impact panels that face the road first. It’s a sensible way to start if full body feels like too much right now. Many owners begin with partial cover and upgrade to full body later.

The price gap between films makes more sense once you divide it by warranty years. On a full body, R-Star works out to about ₹15,000 to ₹18,000 for each year of cover. R2 comes to roughly ₹12,500 to ₹15,000 a year, the lowest of all six films. R3 comes to ₹15,000 to ₹19,000 a year, because you’re paying for the thickest film. If you plan to keep your car for eight years or more, R2 often gives the best value.

What decides the final price on your car

A Baleno and a Scorpio N need very different amounts of film. Bigger bodies and deeper curves take more material and more hours of careful work. Your choice of film and how much of the car you cover matter just as much.

Paint condition plays a part too. If the car has swirls or old scratches, we correct the paint first so they don’t get sealed under the film. Adding a ceramic coating on top also changes the quote. For an exact number, bring your car in, and we’ll give you a no-obligation quote.

How your BASF eWarranty works

Your warranty comes from BASF RODIM, not only from us. After installation, the film is registered against your car. You can then download your own warranty card from the RODIM India website using your film roll number and vehicle registration.

The warranty covers large-area cracking, blistering, and adhesive residue caused by a defect in the film itself. Accidents, natural disasters, normal wear and damage from improper cleaning fall outside the cover. Paint damage on repainted panels during fitting or removal isn’t covered either.

One condition matters more than the rest. BASF RODIM honours the warranty only when an authorised installer fits the film. As an authorised studio, Fortify keeps that protection valid from day one.

Should you pick RODIM or LLumar?

We install both, so we’re happy to give you a straight answer. On our LLumar PPF page, partial cover starts from about ₹30,000 and full body from about ₹2,60,000. LLumar’s warranty goes up to 12 years.

RODIM’s full-body price starts lower, at ₹75,000 for R-Star, with warranties from 5 to 10 years. For a mid-range SUV you’ll keep for five to eight years, RODIM usually gives better value. If you want the longest possible warranty on a premium car, LLumar is worth a look.

Why car owners bring their RODIM installs to Fortify

Fortify is an authorised BASF RODIM installer, which keeps your eWarranty valid. Our 1,000 sq ft studio in HRBR Layout was set up for film work, with dust control built into every job. A single speck of dust trapped under PPF stays visible for the life of the film.

Every car gets film cut from a computer template made for its exact model. Around panel edges, we wrap the film over the edge instead of trimming it short on the surface. That extra step is what stops edges from lifting after a few months.

Our core team brings more than 10 years of combined PPF experience. We don’t double-book bays, so no one rushes your car to make room for the next one. Before handover, we check every panel and every edge.

Owners seem to notice the difference. We hold a 4.9 rating from 393 Google reviews.

Questions car owners ask about RODIM PPF

Yes, RODIM developed its R-Star film with Indian roads and climate in mind. For heavy highway driving, the thicker R2 and R3 films add extra impact resistance.

R-Star is the entry film, with a 5-year warranty and 170-micron thickness. R1 is thicker at 186 microns, carries a 7-year warranty,y and has a brighter gloss. The full-body price gap between them is roughly ₹20,000 before GST.

No, the prices on this page exclude GST. We add 18% GST separately to your bill. A ₹1,00,000 R2 full-body job, for example, comes to ₹1,18,000 including tax.

Yes, and plenty of owners choose to. PPF handles physical damage like chips and scratches, while ceramic coating adds extra gloss and water beading. We can quote for both together.

Visit the warranty card download page on the RODIM India website. Enter your film roll number and your vehicle registration number. Keep your installation invoice with the card, since both help if you ever raise a claim.

On factory paint, a trained installer can remove the film cleanly. Repainted panels carry more risk, because the newer paint may not bond as strongly. RODIM’s warranty doesn’t cover paint that lifts from repainted panels during removal.

Use a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft wash mitt. Skip automatic car washes with brushes, since they can scuff the film’s edges. Damage from improper cleaning isn’t covered, so gentle care protects your warranty too.
