Colour PPF in Bangalore at Fortify Car Care

Colour PPF in Bangalore at Fortify Car Care

A white car can leave our studio wearing a satin finish in a brand-new colour, with spotless factory paint still underneath. Years later, the film can come off and reveal that original white, untouched by chips or sun. That two-in-one result is why more owners now ask us about colour PPF in Bangalore.

Fortify Car Care installs colour PPF from two brands. Saint-Gobain comes with an 8-year warranty and seven colours to choose from. Endura carries a 5-year warranty and a much wider range across gloss, satin, and carbon fibre finishes. Full-body jobs start at ₹1,40,000 plus GST.

What colour PPF is, and how it differs from a vinyl wrap

Colour PPF is paint protection film with colour built in. It’s made from thermoplastic polyurethane, or TPU, the same tough, flexible material used in clear PPF. The only difference is what you see. Instead of showing your paint through a clear layer, the film shows a new colour you choose.

A vinyl wrap looks similar from a distance, but it’s a different product. Vinyl wraps are usually made from PVC and are thinner than PPF. They’re designed mainly to change how a car looks, not to take hits from the road.

Colour PPF does both jobs at once. Its thicker TPU layer absorbs stone chips and light scuffs that would otherwise mark bare paint. You get a new colour and a protective layer in a single installation.

People sometimes use the two names as if they mean the same thing. They don’t, and the difference becomes obvious once the car starts collecting road chips.

Vinyl still has its place. If you only want a colour change on a tighter budget, a wrap can be the right call. Our car wraps page covers those options in detail.

Why colour PPF beats a repaint

A respray is permanent. Once your car is painted a new colour, the factory finish is gone for good. That can hurt resale value, since many buyers prefer cars with original paint.

Colour PPF works the other way around. The factory paint stays sealed under the film, protected from chips and sun. Your panels also can’t end up in slightly different shades, which sometimes happens when a car is resprayed.

There’s one legal step to plan for. Under Section 52 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, a visible colour change must be endorsed on your RC by the RTO. The film being removable doesn’t change that. Some RTOs approve the colour before installation, while others inspect the car afterwards, so check with your local office first. Our guide on RTO rules for wraps and colour changes walks through the full process.

Two colour PPF brands, and which one suits you

We install colour PPF from two brands, and each one suits a different kind of owner.

Warranty

Best for

Saint-Gobain

8 years

7 colours

Owners who want the longest warranty

Endura

5 years

Wide range in gloss, satin and carbon fibre

Owners with a specific shade or texture in mind

Saint-Gobain offers the longer cover of the two, with an 8-year warranty. Its palette is smaller, with seven colours to choose from. Fortify is an authorised Saint-Gobain PPF installer, so the brand stands behind your warranty. Choose Saint-Gobain if you plan to keep the car for many years and one of the seven shades appeals to you.

Endura gives you far more choice. Its range spans gloss, satin and carbon fibre finishes across a wide spread of colours, with a 5-year warranty. It suits owners who already have a particular shade or texture in mind.

Not sure which finish to pick? Gloss looks like fresh factory paint, with deep reflections. Satin sits between gloss and matte, giving a soft sheen that shows off the body lines. Carbon fibre adds a woven texture across the panels for a sportier, more technical look.

If you like the satin look but want to keep your current colour, clear matte PPF might suit you better.

Here’s a simple rule of thumb. Pick Saint-Gobain if warranty length matters most, and pick Endura if colour choice matters most. We’ll walk you through both ranges at the studio before you decide.

Colour PPF price in Bangalore

Full-body colour PPF starts at ₹1,40,000 plus 18% GST.

You might wonder why we don’t offer colour on just the roof or bonnet. Colour film has to be bought as a complete roll for each car. A single-panel job would leave most of that roll unused, so partial colour work doesn’t make sense for you or for us. That’s why we install colour PPF on the full body only.

A few things move the price above the starting figure. Larger cars need more film and more hours of careful work, so an SUV costs more than a hatchback. The brand and the specific film you choose also affect the final number.

For an exact figure, bring your car in, and we’ll give you a no-obligation quote.

What colour PPF covers, and what it doesn't

Colour PPF covers every exterior painted surface of your car. The bonnet, roof, doors, fenders, bumpers and boot lid all change to the new colour.

Door shuts and jambs are a different story. These are the painted frames you see when you open a door, and film can’t be applied to them. The inner edges around the bonnet and boot also stay in the original colour.

So if you turn a white car grey, you’ll still see white each time a door opens. It’s worth picturing that before you choose a shade. Some owners pick a colour that sits comfortably next to their original paint for exactly this reason.

We’d rather you hear this now than notice it after handover.

How colour PPF handles Bangalore roads

Colour PPF does the same protective job as clear film. On a run up Bellary Road to the airport, gravel hits the film instead of chipping your paint. Bird droppings and tree sap land on the film rather than your clear coat, so a quick wipe clears them. Because the film is opaque, sunlight never reaches the factory paint underneath. That paint stays shielded from fading for as long as the film is on.

Why owners choose Fortify for colour PPF

Edge work matters more with colour than with clear film. If film is trimmed short of a panel edge, a thin line of the original paint shows through. We wrap the film around the edge of each panel instead, so the new colour reads as one clean finish.

Dust matters just as much. A speck trapped under coloured film shows up as a small bump in the surface. Our 1,000 sq ft studio in HRBR Layout is dust-managed, so the film goes onto a properly clean panel.

Every car also gets film cut from a computer template made for its exact model. Our core team brings more than 10 years of combined PPF experience across hatchbacks, SUVs, and luxury cars. We don’t double-book bays, and every panel gets checked before handover.

Owners seem to notice the difference. We hold a 4.9 rating from393 Google reviews.

Questions car owners ask about colour PPF

For protection, yes, because colour PPF is thicker TPU built to absorb chips. A vinyl wrap costs less and suits owners who mainly want a new look. Your choice comes down to whether protection matters as much as the colour.

Saint-Gobain carries an 8-year warranty, and Endura carries a 5-year warranty. Washing gently with a pH-neutral shampoo helps the film look its best throughout that period.

Yes, a trained installer can remove the film and reveal the factory paint underneath. Repainted panels carry more risk, because newer paint may not bond as strongly as factory paint. Tell us about any past respray work before we start.

No, we install colour PPF on the full body only. Colour film comes as a complete roll for each car, so single-panel jobs aren’t practical. For a black roof or contrast mirrors, a vinyl wrap is usually the better fit.

No, door shuts and jambs keep the original colour, since film can’t be applied there. You’ll see the old colour whenever a door or the boot is open.

Endura has the wider range, with gloss, satin and carbon fibre finishes. Saint-Gobain offers seven colours but gives you a longer 8-year warranty. Ask us for the current shade list when you visit.

Many owners add a coating to make washing easier. We’ll recommend a ceramic coating that suits your film and finish, especially if you pick satin.

Yes, if the new colour is visibly different from the one on your RC. If your car is still under a loan, most RTOs will also ask for a No Objection Certificate from your financier. Remember to inform your insurer once the RC is updated.
